Ingredients
½poundmild pork ground sausage
½poundbaconcut into small 1 inch pieces
6eggs
2cupsmilk
1teaspoonsalt
1teaspoondry mustard
2sliceswhite bread cubed
2cupsshredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
Heat a pan or cast iron skillet on the stove over medium heat. Add ground sausage and bacon pieces and cook until sausage is browned and bacon is cooked but still a little soft, about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally while cooking.
While the meat is cooking, beat eggs in a large bowl. Add milk, salt, and mustard to the eggs and mix.
Add cubed bread, cheese, bacon, and sausage to the egg mixture and gently stir.
Pour the mixture into a 9x13 casserole dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight, approximately 6-8 hours.
In the morning, preheat oven to 350°. Bake the casserole uncovered for 45 minutes until the center is set and the edges are slightly golden.
